i have a very good travel agent- we bought travel bundle tickets- flew to Tokyo via ANA, flew to HKG on ANA, and flying home now on CX. He notified me a week ago that for a minimal additional payment we could upgrade our flight home to 1st Class. It felt like a worthwhile expense- so i went for it. I have 2 #kristips for you- 1st establish a good & loyal relationship w/ your travel agent (we’ve been using Excite Travel for 9 years now) to get consistently good service & good rates. 2nd if you love travel like us, make sure that your credit card rewards go straight to your airline mileage program. I joined 2, ASIAMILES & @flypal’s Mabuhay Miles. My 2 BDO issued credit cards are the least hassle free for points transfers. I have a CX AMEX w/c automatically transfers my points and i have a BDO Mastercard connected to my Mabuhay Miles. If you do intend to use your miles- if you will travel during peak season (like now)- plan the trip at least 6 months in advance so you can still get slots (i wasn’t able to do that for this trip because i wasn’t sure up to when i’d be shooting my webisodes.) #travel #home
