SENTI ang greeting na ‘to... 7 months ago when my initial health diagnosis seemed like a death sentence, the efficient, mataray, disciplinarian sa lahat, minsan snubero, pero mapagkakatiwalaan sa LAHAT ng bagay, my Alvin cried as inconsolably as Bimb did. Looking back now, my morbid sense of humor can appreciate, i saw the trailer of their “breakdown” scene when it’s really goodbye. yes, pwedeng sabihin alvin’s been with me for more than 14 years because malaki ang sweldo nya, generous benefits, plus he’s traveled everywhere with us. BUT i know it’s much more than that. he’s still here because we love him & he loves us. We are FAMILY. hindi ako madaling alagaan- for so long workaholic ako and wherever i was, nakatutok si alvin. that means habang lahat ng kaibigan nya puma party sa O Bar (or kung ano man ang equivalent 5, 10, and 15 years ago) we were at work: taping, shooting a TVC here or abroad, shooting a movie, or campaigning. yet to this day, pareho kami ng attitude- WORK IS A BLESSING at ang inumpisahan, tinatapos. Dedma sa pagod. Alvin is an integral, irreplaceable extension of me... lahat ng hindi ko kayang tutukan at gawin- sa kanya yun. Bago pa man umabot yung problema sa kin, nanguna na sya para hanapan nila ng mga posibleng solusyon. Alvin & Bincai lang ang perfect attendance sa lahat ng hospitalizations ko sa 🇵🇭, 🇺🇸, 🇮🇩, and 🇸🇬. in a world that showed me the ugly face of greed & betrayal, ALVIN is God’s gift because he is a reminder that compassion, trust, respect, and appreciation are reciprocated. Bimb said, although napa edit ko, his mama’s first love was an “alvin”- with no hesitation kayang kaya kong sabihin, time & trials have proven to me, i found my real and lasting love in our ALVIN who will celebrate his birthday on Sunday. (i posted this tonight because ka birthday nya si direk Chito Roño & Vic Sotto- para sure @alvingagui will get the spotlight all to himself.) We love you, alvin. FOR LIFE!
